I have created a website, and a store within that site and even a store view, yet I can’t figure out the URL for that new site. I even searched my FTP folders and can’t find anything with the site name.
I’m also having trouble getting stores to appear on the main site, any ideas?
OK I know it may be a dumb question but certainly someone knows the answer to this?
You have to create a subdirectory of the root URL where your magento installation resides and then copy the .htaccess and index.php files to that directory. You then edit the index.php file so it points to the app/Mage.php file in the directory where Magento is installed.
For example, I have two sites running off one Magento installation:
http://ipicpublishing.com/magento/—Magento root directory
http://ipicpublishing.com/ebooks/—my second website
