After the upgrade, I noticed a boatload of new Layered navigation options. How do I turn some of these off??? There are WAY too many for any typical shop.

Thank you in advance!

Scott

I got the same problem - things like “Available for Google Checkout” and “Visibility” were showing up in Search Results Layered Navigation.  What the hell is that all about?  Just edit each attribute and select “No” on the pulldown towards the bottom of the page that says Use In Search Results Layered Navigation.  Seems like we’ve got to de-activate each one individually.  A real head scratcher of an update from the Magento team.

This seems to be related to my problem
see thread

You can auto update this table via a sql statement. Not fully test

UPDATE `inpt_eav_attributeSET  `is_filterable_in_search`=0
WHERE
`entity_type_id`=AND
`
is_filterable_in_search`=AND
`
is_filterable`!=1

What it does:
It sets is_filterable_in_search=0
for all attributes of entity_type=4, -> product catalog entity
it only changes the attributes if is_filterable!=1 -> this way it won’t update attributes which should be filterable.
