I found this this tutorial here:

http://www.magentocommerce.com/knowledge-base/entry/tutorial-multi-site-multi-domain-setup

and followed everything but last step is confusing me, it shows:

3: Store Configuration in the Server

1. Now we re-configure the Apache configuration file, httpd.conf, for all domains to set the DocumentRoot to our Magento directory.  In this case, the directory is /var/www/http

<VirtualHost *:80>
ServerAdmin
DocumentRoot /var/www/http
ServerName domain0.com
</VirtualHost>

I am not understanding where to find this directory mentioned above? Help?

By /var/www/http they mean “Root directory of your server”, it can be /var/www/http, /var/www or /var/www/vhosts.
It is different for different servers.
Please check what is yours and change that with magento root directory. If you are on dedicated server.

Hoping this will help you.
