Hi,

We promote the website www.oxbridgegames.com based on magento. Initially the products were set and it was functioning properly. Two days back we were trying to remove the callouts on left side and search terms and advanced search in the footer. We commented out the appropriate blocks in catalog.xml and catalogsearch.xml and page.xml files. After uploading those files we disabled the cache in cache management and enabled it again. When we refreshed the webpage we are only able to view the header part. The content block and other links in footer are not getting loaded.

We tried even tried uploading the default files of catalog, catalogsearch and page.xml, but still there is no change.

Please let us know what the problem is about? and solution for it.

Note- homepage screen shot attached

Thanks,
Sridhar

It’s possible that you make some changes that before that you clean your cache works becuase Magento call the cached data.
Did you make some special change?
Did you get some error on the var/report folder or the apache log?

Hi Damian,

No i didn’t make any major changes. I just commented out the left callout block in the xml files. And I don’t see any error reports. Is there a way to correct this?

Thanks,
Sridhar

Maybe you need to start over using another skin (the default or the blank) and testing both skins to see where you get errors.
