Dear all, i’m having some difficulties here, any help would appriciated:
Here are things i would like to accomplished:
1. Multiple store
2. Each store will have specific products
3. Each product will have 1 SKU and several “serial numbers”

i’ve already done the 1 and 2, but i cant find any clue to do the 3rd part. I got some idea, which is creating another table to store the serial numbers for each product, but the problem is i don’t know what the “master” product table is.
Is it a good idea to create another table and link it to product table? or perhaps there are another solution to my problems?
another thing is, i want to edit the admin page, as for the new/edit product page, and just want to add a link that will open a child popup page to add/remove the serial numbers. What page should i mess up with?

I think it would be so easy for you guys, but i’m a newbie here, please help…

Regards
- Ronald-

Add this to your sql setup

$setup->addAttribute('catalog_product''serialnumber', array(

'label'    => 'Serial Number',

'visible'  => true,

'backend_type' => 'varchar',

'required' => false,

    ));

Or Go to eav_attribute table and add.. the above values where entity_type_id = ----------------- id of catalog/product on the eav_entity_type table..

And you will get a new field added on the product admin....

this might help you.

Thanks subesh, it works like a charm..
but not excactly what i need, what i mean is i need MANY serial numbers for ONE product, therefore i’m considering to create a new table instead of an atribute for the product..
