So i need to move all files from FTP and make a back up from the Magento admin panel

Maybe this thread can help you.

Once you apply that instructions, take care about you /app/etc/local.xml file. Check if the database params are ok.

Hello,

I was looking for the answer to this as well.

I did all the steps you said and when I try to go to the homepage, I get this:

Notice: Undefined index:  0 in /home/mc77/domains/majesticsites.com/public_html/shop/app/code/core/Mage/Core/Model/Mysql4/Config.php on line 86

Well I need to know from the basics

1) Transfer ALL files from old Server to new Server?

2) Create a mysql database with the same name and password? (what is this is not possible? because mydefualt when i enter a name it chages it by adding the domain in front eg. name xiao it will make it as mydomain_xiao)

3) ???
