Magento

After installing the cms, when I view a user front end view at the domain http://www.skateshopmidwest.com/index.php I see the right sidebar elements as in the demo store but on the left and center there is nothing.  The top left corner says “Home Page”.  There is no navigation bar at the top.  Is this normal when installing or did something go wrong somewhere?  I assumed a basic structure like the one in the demo store would be already put together.

Any comments would be great!

Did you install sample data as well or only the basic installation?

yes that is normal. if you want the sample data, just download and install it. its at the bottom of the blog post.

the download used to come with all of the sample data by default but it was removed. i don’t think everyone (including me) wanted to download 50-60 megs each time.
