Hello, i’m new in SSL. But i found very little info about a proper installation on Magento.
My hosting company installed a SSL onto my domain http://www.domain.com and domain.com.

The domain of my shop is http://www.domain.com/shop

But i can’t install and run the SSL.
I think that the SSL also must be installed on http://www.domain.com/shop.
As this is the same url as the “base Url” setting in “secure settings”.

Can someone answer if this is right ? I’m not sure.
Or that it can work also when SSL is installed on http://www.domain.com

Thanks,
Dave

you are in luck.. i have done the same thing..

All of the below needs access to the Cpanel WHM.

!* MAKE COPIES OF THE CODE GENERATED *!
!* AND YOUR http://WWW.DOMAIN.COM MUST BE ITS OWN IP DO THIS BY ASSIGNING ANOTHER IP TO THE SERVER AND ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT YOUR DOMAIN WITH SSL NEEDED CHANGE IP. THAT SHOULD BE IT FOR THAT PART *!

Cpanel WHM
One go to he generate SSL and set it to the http://www.domain.com
add password
Company Name and Company Division are
Organization = Organization Unit =
http://www.domain.com and Domain Control Validated or what ever it has in Organization Unit
IE. this is “Godaddy” turbo

next you may will have to rekey the ssl and add the generated
-----BEGIN CERTIFICATE REQUEST-----
jksdhjkslh stuff here
-----END CERTIFICATE REQUEST-----
to the request box
download the CRT file and open it in TEXT editor.

Back to the Cpanel WHM
install SSL and domain

Copy the CRT file data it should look like this
-----BEGIN CERTIFICATE-----
-----END CERTIFICATE-----
put that in the first box…

the next box is from your generated SSL request
-----BEGIN CERTIFICATE-----
-----END CERTIFICATE-----

and the last box is all of your generated SSL request into it
