Help embedding flash containing actionscript

Hey everyone,
I have a bit of a challenge in front of me…

On my product page I have a flash file. It has a large image placed in it and a nifty little feature that allows users to make an offer on the guitar.
For this to work, the Flash file needs to call on a PHP script to POST the variables to my email address. It works perfectly when I go to the address of the flash file in my browser (, but it won’t work on my product page.

To display the Flash file I have used the following code in a custom-made attribute for displaying HTML:

<OBJECT classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000"
WIDTH="890" HEIGHT="445" id="title"><PARAM NAME="AllowScriptAccess" VALUE="always">
PARAM NAME=movie VALUE=""><PARAM NAME=quality VALUE=high><PARAM NAME=bgcolor VALUE=#FFFFFF><EMBED src="" quality=high bgcolor=#FFFFFF WIDTH="890" HEIGHT="445"
NAME="title" ALIGN="" TYPE="application/x-shockwave-flash"

I am having the same issue with Flash files in CMS static blocks. I have a flash banner that when clicked, should go to another page, but it doesn’t do anything.

The link for the product page is here:

If anybody can help me with this issue it would be greatly appreciated.

What version of flash are you using?  That embed code is a little out dated and might be part of the problem, but I know that Flash Player 10 has been causing problems with older swf files.  Magento has AC_RunActiveContent.js so it’s easy to use the <script> version to embed your flash- it’s all set up for it.  If you are publishing for flash player 10 (CS4), maybe try first to republish the swf with the debug activated and try to see if you can catch any errors coming out of it that way.

Beyond that, I have seen this type of behavior when there is a sandbox issue- so you may want to check your link uris, try putting the full uri in there and see if that helps.

edit - I just looked at your site again and you must have fixed something there because the navigation is working for me now.
