Problem with Extraneous Character Displaying Above Product Pages

There is a period displaying at the top middle above all my product page headers. The rest of the page is pushed down one line. The problem is only on my product pages.

I am not sure when this started (I just noticed it), but my guess is that I added the period accidentally at some point while editing files.

This is what an affected page looks like in firebug:

<html lang="en" xml:lang="en" xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><head… </head><body class=" catalog-product-view catalog-product-view product-killzone-3-playstation-3">
      .

    <
meta content="text/html; charset=utf-8" http-equiv="Content-Type"></meta>
etc…

Does anyone know what file(s) I might have edited to add this period mark?

I apologize if this is a beginner question. I am new to programming and Magento.

I have the same problem, did you find a solution for it?
