Hello boys!

In the end of the installation of the Magento (localhost) it almost appears a message requesting that he is loaded the extension ‘curl’. Therefore, I was in the archive ‘php.info’ e I removed ‘;’ of the extension ‘php_curl’. Still thus the extension does not load. What I must make?

Hug’s.

I could not find a hosting company that supports Magento So I decided to install a local server on my Win XP machine into a new partition. I loaded up xampp and the only php extension that will not load is curl. I have removed the semi-colons in front of extension=php_curl.dll for both php.ini and php5.ini. This has no effect.

I have copied both these files to apache\config but this makes no difference. I’ve stopped and started Apache, closed down my PC and restarted but curl will not load.

I can find no further help on this forum as to why curl will not load.

I found another php.ini file in apache\bin and enabling curl from here fixed the problem. Curl now shows up when I run phpinfo.php.

There are multiple *.ini files. To be sure you’re editing the correct one, look for the path in your phpinfo() dump.
