Hello,

I’m testing a multistore configuration with Magento, meaning having one websites with differents stores in it.
So far it’s all working good but I have this one problem and can’t find any answers on forums or by myself in the back office.

So I have this website that has his own address and homepage. I can go from there to the different stores without any problem but don’t seem to be able to get back to the default homepage when typing once I navigated through the stores.

In short, when I go for the first time to (let’s call it) http://www.mysteststore.com I get to the homepage.
When I navigate through stores and later close the window, even quit the browser then type again http://www.mysteststore.com, I get to go to the last store page I visited and not on the site homepage.
Thought it was a browser cache related effect so emptied it but same thing.

Does anyone knows why this is happening and how I can get rid of this ?

I just need to have a default homepage presenting all the stores for http://www.mysteststore.com and for each and everytime someone gets there.

Thanks a lot.

I had a similar issue, we created an index.html page which operated above the php index page, Created a nice page with links to each store, edited the logo links to re-direct back to there too..

http://www.mysite.com/ - should load the index.html
http://www.mysite.com/imdex.php - link to this from whichever etc…

hope it helps....

PS: i do this when creating sites for customers, by creating an index.html holding page, then running the CMS system behind the scenes.

thanks neilkerry, I was indeed thinking about doing something similar in case I could not find a ‘magento solution’ for it.

would be great to hear from the team if that is a normal behavior, though.
or if anybody got some kind of another solution, seems like I’m not the only one that would be glad to hear it.
