Good to see that you finally ventured over to magento.  This should really help those who are having a difficult time with the dataflow.  I use your store manager for x-cart and creloaded and they work great.  Saves me a bunch of time with import aspect.  Your products are always reasonable priced and offering a the trial version is win win situation for everyone to try it.  Thanks for the good work.

Thank you fifthave

We worked hard on this and plan to do so in the future.
I welcome you and everybody to post your feature suggestions and bug reports - will make it even better

For those who plan conversion I welcome to give a try to our other new service
www.shopping-cart-migration.com
It’s automated online service to migrate data from old store to new one, based on other shopping cart, support for Magento will come next week. You basically do it yourself using this service.

It’s in beta now, conversion for small stores is free.

Looks like it might have potential but it’s an absolute mess esthetically. Fugly as hell comes to mind.

Give it a try for few days.

I’m giving the beta a try but I doubt if I’ll manage to get as far as making a connection to the database within the 30 day trial period. I think the beta version should not have that restriction as we are helping with the development (or trying to) rather than using a working product.

We will leave it as beta for few more weeks - 3-5 minimum, some functionality still isn’t there and most likely some obvious bugs.
No final release dates now.

I welcome you to report problems and make feature suggestions actively to speed up the stabilization process a bit at your end.
Also please just request prolongation of trial period if necessary via email.

If it takes you 30 days to make a db connection, how long did it take you install magento on server with the innodb storage engine?  The bridge is just a matter of inputting password and uploading the file.  It takes about 15 minutes.

Magento itself was up and running in 15 mins thanks to the excellent hosting at Nublue who installed it ready for me to use, Well I’m probably being a bit thick but despite many attempts Store Manager keeps saying I haven’t changed the default information (which I have).  I just need a way of downloading customer orders which is planned feature of Store Manager. I’m probably going to wait a few months till the production version comes out.

I’m sure Store Manager will be a great susses especially when the customer orders can be downloaded, printed and manipulated.

At the moment I’m still testing the image upload section and setting up the ftp image upload folder to work with Magento product image folders…

As beta - yes. It’s 4th or 5th beta release.
You are welcome to download it and give it a try.

Release should happen in several weeks from now (23 June 2009), can’t give more precise estimate right now.
