Dear community,

i’m new to magento extension building. So whenever i log in with an account in frontend the hook should be triggered. When i just enter:
echo “test”;
exit;

everything is perfect. But whenever i do an include Statement or a Soap request the script skips to the login area.
Do you have any ideas for me?

There is also no error output?

Best regards and thank you

I experienced some issues with making a frontend login work myself, after a lot of testing, I got it working. This is the current setup I use for it.

<form action="<?php echo $baseUrl; ?>/customer/account/loginPost/" method="post" id="login-form">
                    <
ul class="form-list">
                        <
li>
                            <
div class="input-box">
                                <
input type="text" name="login[username]" placeholder="<?php echo $this->__('Email'); ?>" value="<?php echo $this->htmlEscape($this->getUsername()) ?>" id="email" class="input-text required-entry validate-email" title="<?php echo $this->__('Email') ?>" />
                            </
div>
                            <
div class="spacer"></div>
                        </
li>
                        <
li>
                            <
div class="input-box">
                                <
input type="password" name="login[password]" class="input-text required-entry validate-password" id="pass" placeholder="<?php echo $this->__('Password') ?>" title="<?php echo $this->__('Password') ?>" />
                            </
div>
                        </
li>

<?php echo $this->getChildHtml('form.additional.info'); ?>

<li>
                                <
label for="rememberme" class="input-box rememberme-chkbox"><input type="checkbox" name="login[rememberme]" class="checkbox left" id="rememberme" title="<?php echo $this->__('Remember me') ?>" style="margin-top: 2px" />

<?php echo $this->__('Husk Mig'?></label>
                        </
li>
                    </
ul>
                    <
button type="submit" class="button" title="<?php echo $this->__('Login') ?>" name="send" id="send2"><span><span><?php echo $this->__('Login'?></span></span></button>
                    <
div class="loginbtnbtn"></div>
        </
form>

as for Error Logging, there is an Error Log, but I only think it dumps fatal errors. Its located in var > report. When you have a fatal or insecure crash it should put a file in there discribing exactly what went wrong.
