Would it be easier to follow the above solutions to remove or hide the compare options OR add a option menu to the config screen and build in the option toggle?
Fix the problem instead of hacking core files with deletes and comment hiding.
Create the power to toggle this option on and off.
New to this so I have no solution to share. Just the suggestion to improve.
