Hi, I’m like many of you who have installed a Magento without checking InnoDB prior to 1.2.1

as a result I work with 200 products that I want to upgrade

I have 3 strategies, which one is the best ?

1. stay with my current Magento install with ISAM tables : risky for long term

2. use the innob convert script from the wiki, but will that recreate foreign keys

3. reinstall new magento and transfer products via backups ...

what do you experienced Magento users think?

Bump. I hope someone answers this. I’d like some advice on this as well.

abijah, go for solution 3

a few hours work you won’t regret when you get there

here is the way to go : backup myisam data, install new innodb magento, backup innodb schema only, run schema to truncate tables, then run myisam data backup

Let us know if you find errors with that

you can then reasonably think of a good old upgrade to 1.2.1
