So, I have switched over the PHP5, but can’t get past the pdo_mysql error.

Has this been settled yet? I have looked through the forum, and can only understand a 3rd of whats being said.

For the Developers..

You guys gotta make this simpler. The number one reason that something like this will fail is if its bloody impossible to install, like it seems to be. The average user doesnt’ want to deal with a 17 meg CGI PHP4 work around, or all kinds of uncommenting crap for an HTACCESS file. It should just install, and be done with it. OSCOMMERCE is absolutely crap, but it installs easily enough and works, to a degree.

There needs to be a simple workaround for this problem.

Thanks in advance for the help.
