Excuse me, but simply increasing php memory limit seems a _very_ unsatisfactory solution.
I have this exact same issue with magento, for pages with one or two thumbnails only, and 1 single session!! ????
No other CMS framework seems to need this, including image galleries with very large numbers of images on a page, and multiple simultaneous users.
What’s the core issue here? Something wrong with the magento code - a huge memory leak , errant code?
If you band aid it by just increasing your php memory limit, you just *MAY* want to consider your server performance, better hope you never get more than one customer at a time I guess.
72MB to spew a basic page with 2 thumbnails and some text....THAT’S NOT REALLY ACCEPTABLE.
:( :( ::(
