Hi,

i\’m working with magento for a couple of weeks now, and i am facing an problem.

Our customer would like to have multiple stores within one website.
he also would like to have a search function wich is capable of searching in all stores.

i tried to extende the catalog search model, but i failed.
at the moment only the current category is selected, i tried to merge several collections.
but i got an error, setIds not available on object.

So the ideal situation is, searching from the simple searchbox and get the results from all the stores in the current website.

who is able to help me with this?

would be something to change in catalogsearch/model/layer.php, wonder what would happen if we remove the store filter.

i’ve tried to remove this filter.
but still it is giving me the products of the current store.

we keep looking.
anyone else some suggestions?
