Magento

This afternoon without any explanation the Magento Connect menu option has disappeared from my admin menu. I had literally just been using it to reinstall a couple of extensions that had inexplicably stopped working, and when I went back to the main Admin area, I could no longer see the option under System. I can access via /downloader, but this is hardly ideal.

I’ve checked the etc directory for the Connect module and the adminhtml.xml is present and appears to be correct.

Can anyone help with this? I’m using CE 1.7.0
