For the categories in the menu bar, the active link works fine i.e. when a category is clicked, you go to the corresponding page and the category link gets highlighted. However, for the independent content pages that have a link in the navigation menu bar, when clicked,it takes you to the right page, but highlights the home button, not the corresponding link.

I added these pages using the redirect functionality of magento.
