Hello,

I am having one heck of a time getting magento to work on a production box (i followed the guide on here http://www.magentocommerce.com/wiki/groups/227/moving_magento_to_another_server), which is the same as the test environment it is on and working, except for APC, which i had disabled in the vhost for magento and i never put it into the local.xml file.

-CentOS 6.4 x64
- nginx version: nginx/1.2.5
- magento-1.7.0.2
- PHP 5.4.9 (cli) (built: Nov 22 2012 11:31:02)
Copyright (c) 1997-2012 The PHP Group
Zend Engine v2.4.0, Copyright (c) 1998-2012 Zend Technologies

I ran the magento verification tool and get a mixed answer

You need PHP 5.2.0 (or greater)'; } else { $pass .='

'.$pass.'
'; } else { echo '
CongratulationsYour server meets the requirements for Magento.

'; echo '
'.$pass.'
'; } } ?>

Told i don’t meet the requirements, but then told i do?

I see one person posted a response that if i am being shown the code,. that php is not parsing properly

http://www.magentocommerce.com/boards/v/viewthread/41354/#t134036

how ever i can run through the entire installation fine and it installs, how ever after about 5-6 mins, pages stop showing up and loading properly..

could this be because of my set up?

So i found this post in regards to not being able to access my admin back end, i was getting a 404 page error

http://stackoverflow.com/questions/5178066/error-404-not-found-in-magento-admin-login-page

this gave me some progress, the front end works fine, it is only the backend…

How ever now i get a log in screen but no submit button

http://i.imgur.com/OQ9bppy.png

checking logs in my system but not seeing anything specific relating to this issue.

hi
the problem in your first post looks like
shor_open_tag
http://www.php.net/manual/en/ini.core.php#ini.short-open-tag

if this is you public server, send us a message,
we will check it for free.
cause it`s hard to debug right now, not much information available.

cheers

Appreciated very much!

trimmed it down, it could be physical memory problems

going to try it on a fresh new server see if it installs and i can migrate from the test enviroment, to eliminate that possibility and will keep you posted for sure if i still have the problem.
