Hi,

Is magento capable of doing the promotion as follow:

Buy Product 1 and Get Product 2 at special price?

I need to set up such promo, not sure if Magento can do that or need 3rd party extension.

Please advise.

You can easily do this with Special PromotionsExtension.
It allows to create promotions of types “Buy X and get Y with a discount” and “Buy X get Y for fixed price”. See the images attached.

A lot of other types of promotions are available with the module: ‘Each second product with 30% discount’, ‘Purchase several items and get cheapest for free’, ‘Buy 3 and get each additional item with discount’ and any others.

What’s more the module allows not to apply discounts to products with special price.
