I tried to upgrade my site using SimpleScripts from Hostmonster.  Well it seems like I’m getting all kinds of error messages.  I contacted support and they weren’t able to use the back up I had.  Not sure what’s going on but they referred me to Magento. They said there was a conflict with the database.  Can someone help me please?  I’m not a database person, but a web designer.

Here are the error messages:

Error in file: “/home/mySite/public_html/mySite/store/app/code/core/Mage/Downloadable/sql/downloadable_setup/mysql4-upgrade-0.1.0-0.1.1.php” - SQLSTATE[42S02]: Base table or view not found: 1146 Table ‘barkands_mag01.catalog_product’ doesn’t exist

Not sure if this was the answer but I renamed the folder “Downloadable” to old and it brought it up.  When I went to load a backup of my DB I got a new error that was for a folder called “Weee”.  Not sure what that folder does, but renaming it with BAK also worked.  If anyone knows why I shouldn’t do this, please advise.

This seems to suggest to me that the database information was either entered incorrectly or there is a problem with your database.

Can you use PHPMyadmin to see if you indeed have a table catalog_product?

I just checked and I don’t have a table called catalog_product.  I have others that start that way but not one that is solely catalog_product.  What should I do now?

Vicky, did you ever figure out what the problem was?  I tried to clear the cache in the Admin and that’s when this error showed up for me.  I did what you did and renamed the folder “Downloadable” and then everything was fine.
