I have a quite old version of Magento Commerce (ver. 1.2.1) and want to update it. I have made quite a few changes to the shop due to layout changes. As far as I remeber I have a list of files I have changed. What would be the easiest way for me to update the shop to the lasted stable version? I assume it is not possible with the auto-update function?
for your own sake just do a complete “re-branding”, there are many changes between 1.2 and 1.3/1.4 and 1.7
recent upgrade we made was 1.2 > 1.7 - completely new template, fully responsive, html5, css3 and all that stuff…
add all of the necessary functions from previous template, etc.
imported products, customers, and client has now up to date, upgradeable, fully functional web shop.
