i need help

i get Fatal error:  while iam upgrading version.

Fatal error: Class \\\’Mage_Catalog_Model_Resource_Setup\\\’ not found in /home/magentodesigner/dev.rangemastertacticalgear.com/public_html/app/code/core/Mage/XmlConnect/Model/Resource/Setup.php on line 35

how can we fix it.

Generally Magento upgrade is a bit complicated. If you will have considerable issues that you won’t be able to solve there is an alternative option. I’m still having this same problem.:

Fatal error: Class ‘Mage_Catalog_Model_Resource_Setup’ not found in /home/growth14/public_html/magento/app/code/core/Mage/XmlConnect/Model/Resource/Setup.php on line 35

I’ve checked the SVN & have uploaded both versions of the “Setup.php” in question:

*http://svn.magentocommerce.com/source/branches/1.7/app/code/core/Mage/XmlConnect/Model/Resource/Setup.php

* http://svn.magentocommerce.com/source/branches/1.7-trunk/app/code/core/Mage/XmlConnect/Model/Resource/Setup.php

However, there’s been no change. Please help.

If you have SSH access on your server you can try to install the upgrade from the command line:

See: http://www.magentocommerce.com/wiki/groups/227/upgrading_magento_via_ssh

If there are some missing files, they will be automatically downloaded by the command-line upgrader.

We ultimately had to directly upload the update via our server, which seemed to fixed the problem for now. However, I\’ll save what you shared for the future.
