Does anyone know where to remove the ‘My Orders’ link in the navigation on the customer account dashboard?

I just did it for Magento 1.7.0.2. Create a local.xml file in:

/app/design/frontend/your-package/your-theme/layout

There add those lines:

<?xml version="1.0"?>
<layout version="0.1.0">
    <default>
        <
remove name="sale.reorder.sidebar" />
    </default>
</
layout>

Go to app/design/frontend/yourtheme/default/layout/sales.xml
Comment-out following lines
<reference name="customer_account_navigation">
<action method="addLink" translate="label" module="sales"><name>orders</name><path>sales/order/history/</path><label>My Orders</label></action>
</reference>
<reference name="left">
<block type="sales/reorder_sidebar" name="sale.reorder.sidebar" as="reorder" template="sales/reorder/sidebar.phtml"/>
</reference>
