Magento

Trying to install oscommerce migration tool, and am getting the error “Warning: fwrite(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in /magento/downloader/pearlib/php/OS/Guess.php on line 245”. I’ve installed magento on a test server b4 putting it on a live server for testing purposes. Test server is a linux box with xampp. As far as I can tell, all permissions are set to 777.

i m trying to import osCommerce database into magento,
using extension provided by magento core team,
but i m not getting anything,, it freezes on the importing page....
it shows some bad records which i think relates to my osCommerce database, but not completely perfect
any idea???

I’ve struggled with this tool for 2 days with no luck.

Found the Cart2Cart migration service and tried free DEMO - worked well so far. Planning to use it for full migration as soon as my Magento will be finished.
