I have checked the featurelist (Analytics and Reporting) + looked into the demo version thats up too. It gives me a basic idea, but that is just about it so I hoped someone could help be clear up some more direct questions of how extensive the statistics/reports can be?

Specific product reports :
There is total reports and best sellers, but is there a way to check the total sale of a specific product in a choosen period of time, as in;
The sold amount of Products X = XXX
Product X sold a total for = ????$

Product Category reports :
Can you get an report of the total sale of all the products in a specific category, as in;
camera bodys (canon, nikon, sony) = ????$
camera lenses (canon, nikon, sony, etc) = ????$

Custommer :
When you look at a custommer (aka manage custommer) you can choose recent orders, is these a total of the order and/or does it also show exactly what each order contained of?

Sales Report:
How indeapth/advanced are these? Only totaly or does it list each products too during the period you choose?

Hope someone can help me out, I tried to get as much info. as I could, but the demo shop don’t really help out much in this subjects since it’s not a “active” store and that is understandable. Thanks for your time.

I just realized as I was trying to update my inventory for tax records in Quickbook that there was no easy way to see how many of each item I sold this year. I was kind of surprised that this is not a standard report, because I would think that all shops would require this. I am just a small shop and although the third party quickbook extensions intrigue me, I cannot justify the cost for just this one simple need.

Hi everyone.

I coded an Advanced Sales Statistics Script via the magento API as we needed it for one of our customers. You can download and install it anywhere on your webserver. Just extract the zip file and edit config.php.

Download Link:
http://www.mediajunkies.at/magento-advanced-sales-statistics.html

To get your password, please send an email to . This is because it is really BETA and we want to be sure that this tool is used by people who are used to programming. If you need any additional coding for this, please reply here to discuss it or send an email to me.

If you need a fully customized statistics module or any professional help on magento, please visit http://www.pulpmedia.at

Hello !

I’m trying to generate something like the attached file.
I’ve tested your module and it really looks great.
I just miss 2 colomns : 1 for client name, and 1 for the order number.
I’d like to have everything sorted by products.

Thank you !

Maybe it has something to do with certificates on your server.

I think you have to initiate your SOAP session in a different way. Here are some examples.

$client = new SoapClient("some.wsdl");

$client = new SoapClient("some.wsdl", array('soap_version'   => SOAP_1_2));

$client = new SoapClient("some.wsdl", array('login'          => "some_name",

'password'       => "some_password"));

$client = new SoapClient("some.wsdl", array('proxy_host'     => "localhost",

'proxy_port'     => 8080));

$client = new SoapClient("some.wsdl", array('proxy_host'     => "localhost",

'proxy_port'     => 8080,

'proxy_login'    => "some_name",

'proxy_password' => "some_password"));

$client = new SoapClient("some.wsdl", array('local_cert'     => "cert_key.pem"));

$client = new SoapClient(null, array('location' => "http://localhost/soap.php",

'uri'      => "http://test-uri/"));

$client = new SoapClient(null, array('location' => "http://localhost/soap.php",

'uri'      => "http://test-uri/",

'style'    => SOAP_DOCUMENT,

'use'      => SOAP_LITERAL));

$client = new SoapClient("some.wsdl",
  array(
'compression' => SOAP_COMPRESSION_ACCEPT SOAP_COMPRESSION_GZIP));

$server = new SoapClient("some.wsdl", array('encoding'=>'ISO-8859-1'));

I keep getting the error:

Fatal errorUncaught SoapFault exception[Client] SoapClient::SoapClient() [<a href='soapclient.soapclient'>soapclient.soapclient</a>]'location' and 'uri' options are requred in nonWSDL mode in /staging/stats/index.php:54 Stack trace#0 /staging/stats/index.php(54): SoapClient->SoapClient(NULL) #1 {main} thrown in /staging/stats/index.php on line 54

How do I differentiate between WSDL and nonWSDL mode? And which should be used?

(Sorry, I’m a SOAP newby)

Never seen this problem, but you may want to try

$client = new SoapClient(null, array('location' => "http://localhost/soap.php",

'uri'      => "http://test-uri/"));

I’ll keep you posted.
