Dear all,
I am new to magento. I have installed a template and after some changing made by me , my admin panel does not show wysiwyg tinymce editor, which was working correctly previously. I have enabled wysiwyg editor in my admin configuration as system->config->content management-> enable wysiwyg editor-> enable by default. I think i need some changing in coding part. Any suggestion.....

I have the same problem:/ I am working on Magento CE 1.7.0.2.
After doing some googling I think a lot of people have this problem, but there is no clue on how to solve it.
I will post a solution if I find one. Good luck!

gganeshj,

I solved my problem. I have noticed that “media” folder was missing in “js/tiny_mce/plugins/”. I copied the whole media folder from standard Magento configuration and now WYSIWYG works ok in my Magento backend.
I hope this saves your problem too.

Interesting.  Nice find, @knospe!  @ggnaeshj, you may want to open up your Chrome Inspector to the Console tab and see if any javascript errors are throwing.  If the root cause is that some JS wysiwyg code is missing, you should probably see some errors there.
