Kindly find the attached module to manage the stock (i.e price and qty)
1) Make sure that import folder is there into your root/base folder and have proper rights to save the file
2) Keep the same name of the CSV (the code is a little bit dependent on file name. So when u download, make sure before importing that you have updated the file name(if needed))
Do let me know if anyone needs any help with the attached code.
If it is of interest we have various solutions from Excel reformatting that produces import files, to automated supplier onboarding including stock and price update that downloads the files from the target site (csv or xml), cleans and maps the data, and loads it to Magento fully automated on an as scheduled basis from hourly to daily to weekly.
This is better, it is mapping so you add a few table entries for the supplier feed (it can process unlimited feeds) and it automatically converts the data to the required format in Magento. It has been designed to work with all formats of datasets and fields, and can reformat and clean the data before loading.
The included images are all that are required for the system to download the file, map it, and load it to Magento, no code required. It will also only update Magento when changes have been made (called deltas), substantially reducing server impact as normally on 1-2% of products change and allowing you to keep auto indexing enabled so you do not have to perform a manual re-index. This makes the whole system fully automated end-to-end and can be run at any frequency from such as hourly or daily.
We also have specially designed spreadsheets that do exactly the same and produce a Magento output file from a varied input file, however these need to be run manually so are more maintenance effort day to day.
