Hi, I’ve been at this for 2 straight days. and I am exhuasted.

I eighter get this error:

Skipping import row, required field “sku” is not defined.

or

magento Skip import row, is not valid value “type” for field “type”

I am exhuasted, i’ve tried everything, saving in UTF-8 format, using OpenOffice, uploading to GoogleDocs then exporting the CSV, using Notepad.

I’ve tried everything that is searchable.

i can’t seem to upload these freaking products.

What is going on?

Can you post a sample of your CSV as an attachment or PM it to me and I will take a look.

Are you using a Mac by chance?

Try installing Notepad++ and changing the encoding to “Encode with UTF-8 without BOM”.
