Hey..
I’ve been struggling with this problem for days and I dont seem to find the problem..
I have set EVERYTHING thats needed and all the directories to 0777 world-writeable,
Tried different variations, yet when I click continue, Its still the same error!
using the lastest full package avaliable.
I use Linux/Apache now and winSCP as the FTP program.

Path “\\WEBSTORAGE\STORAGE_CONTENT\26\109026\targetshop.eu\public_html/app/etc” must be writable.
Path “\\WEBSTORAGE\STORAGE_CONTENT\26\109026\targetshop.eu\public_html/var” must be writable.
Path “\\WEBSTORAGE\STORAGE_CONTENT\26\109026\targetshop.eu\public_html/media” must be writable.

Please help me with this problem.

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

If you do not have access to SSH:

Download Magento Cleanup Tool (http://www.magentocommerce.com/wiki/_media/groups/227/magento-cleanup2.zip)
Unzip magento-cleanup.php to the root directory where Magento is installed.
Browse to http://yourdomain.com/magento-cleanup.php

!!! In Magento Version 1.5. you need to change magento-cleanup.php:

Edit:
chmod("pear", 550);
Into:
chmod("lib/PEAR", 550);

Hi,

Try this hope this will help you..

Easiest way to set permissions to 777 is to connect to Your server through FTP Application like FileZilla, right click on folder, module_installation, and click Change Permissions - then write 777 or check all permissions.

Thanks

Hello,

Could you tell us whether there is user of the www-data folder installed? You need to run chown -R www-data:www-data public_html and it will change the folder user on Apache and you will be able to get the access to them.
