Using other PHP frameworks (Laravel, Kohana, FuelPHP) inside Magento

I’m setting up a new store with Magento and love its power and functionality. However, I see that I will need additional, custom functionality (such as custom user forms that interact with and update their existing orders), and it looks like writing custom code for Magento is far more complicated than doing the same in, say, Laravel or FuelPHP, which I already know.

So, I’m wondering if anybody has any experience of using these small and lightweight frameworks inside Magento to build functionality? Are there are obvious problems to be aware of, like URL or classname clashes? Any thoughts gratefully received. Is the whole idea a ridiculous one?
