Hi there,

After an Upgrade from 1.4.1.1 to 1.7 almost everything worked but two very different issues came up (for the second I do another post, after some more testing):
In admin backend the single order view is broken (please look at attachment). I transfered every file (except own templates and so on). We didn’t change the admin interface, so I uploaded adminhtml skin and template.
Firebug doesn’t show missing images or stylesheets.

Thanks in advance
Mario

Rename the old design / adminhtml directory to adminhtml_old

Reupload the adminhtml design directory again and see if that solves the problem. Then it will be a custom module, layout file that is causing the issue.

Hi Elfling,

thanks, I renamed and transferred both, /design/adminhtml and skins/adminhtml but it didn’t change the frontend.
On the other side when I reload the page for a moment it’s good, so I think it may be a CSS-Problem.
So, maybe, if I don’t find another solution, I change the CSS.

You don’t have another idea?

Thanks in advance
Mario

In that case.. It’s going to be module related. Something isn’t loading correctly.

Create a directory called DISABLED

So that it is app/etc/DISABLED

Move any custom module .xml files that you have from

app/etc/modules into the DISABLED directory

Check the app/code/local directory

If there is a directory called Mage, rename it ~Mage

Make sure that you disable cache / compilation

Refresh order view page and see if it comes back to life.

If it does come back correctly, move each module.xml file back into the modules directory. After each move back, refresh the order page and see if it goes again and you will find the module that is the problem.

---------------------
Alternatively, turn on logs and check
var/log and see if you have an exception.log or system.log file

Or check your php error_log.

Hi Elfling,

thank you very much, that helped. I know just have to find a solution for the module… grin

Do you have also an idea for my other issue?

Take care
Mario
