We are a UK company, we bank with HSBC and will offer our customers the choice of Protx and Google checkout for UK Sterling £ transactions.
For Euro € customers we want to process natively in € and for the funds to go into our HSBC € account (so they don’t get hit by their banks)… we had intended to do this manually but it sounds like storing cvv numbers is frowned on…
HSBC charge an incredible 3% for € transactions so Protx style transactions are out of the question.. What we really need is something like the Google model where they take a low % and then do a FOC transfer into our € account.
What € transactions mechanisms do people recommend? Or does everyone just offer € prices but then process in £?
Thanks in advance!
