My name is Justin - I am just about to launch my new Magento run website: http://www.focusties.com.au
I’ve run in to a really strange and rather annoying problem. Up until a few days ago my Magento install has been running fine - now all of a sudden I can’t reach SSL secured pages such as the Log in and Checkout pages - every time I try I get this error:
Fatal error: Call to a member function extend() on a non-object in /home/focus/public_html/lib/Varien/Simplexml/Config.php on line 600
Line 598-602 is:
public function extend(Varien_Simplexml_Config $config, $overwrite=true)
I have been advised it is likely malformed XML - however I have run a check on all the XML I can find any they are all formed correctly. I have also stepped back through any changes I had made to any files and there is no instance of a chance that can be attributed to this error… I’m really struggling.
One interesting fact is that if I switch off SSL I can access the http version of the page - so I am hoping some Magento guru out there knows why it would fail on the SSL version of the pages only…
Any help you can offer will be greatly appreciated!!
