Magento

I need to be able to use the customerCustomerList API method to authenticate a user outside of my web store. By using the filter by email and password it would act just like logging into my site.  Problem is I can’t figure out how to do this - it looks like I need to send a hashed password.

I should mention I am using Magento Go, so I can not edit the core files.
