Coupons are declared NOT valid on bundled products, but no problem on single peroducts

I created a coupon to be used once per customer as a cart rule. Fixed price to be applied only to one SKU.
Using as the unique SKU with single product, the coupon can be applied as supossed and no problem, Magento applies the discount.

Changing the condition to a unique SKU where the product is bundled, after purchasing the bundled product, applying the coupon, Magento replies that the coupon is invalid.

I have looked around and do not see anywhere that coupons can only be applied to a specific type of product.

Anyone has any idea if there is a limitation for coupons in bundled products or any work around?
