A Pick List should consist of two things: Pick List Summary and Pick List Detail.

The Pick List Summary is simply the item number, it’s location, how many need to be picked, and how much is currently in inventory. Items with zero or negative inventory (back order) should be at the top of the list to alert the warehouse about back orders.

The Pick List Detail is the same as the Summary but with the order number included. It is not a packing slip. It just lists each order and all the items in that order along with quantity and inventory. Orders that have any item on back order should be at the top of the pick list detail so that back ordered orders can easily be put on hold.

Having a pick list on the order screen doesn’t serve much purpose for a company that has more than 10 orders a day. That will take forever for the warehouse to open each order in Magento and then print the picklist. In fact, that is really just a packing list summary, not a pick list.

This request seems to be in demand. Someone needs to code it! Create an option on the Orders page in individual option to print Pick List / Pick Ticket.. If an item is back ordered it needs to be on top of the pick ticket bolded or something with BACKORDERED on it somewhere, all you need is the Product name, SKU (or UPC, add options!) and BIN# or SHELF#, it doesn’t seem that hard. I will start trying to code something, shoot. All you would have to do is copy the code of the invoice / packing slip and make some modifications to it.. Anyone that uses Magento that has items in racks or a warehouse really needs this feature!

WHY WOULD PAY For getting orders pick list?????

Here we go…

Perform the below querry in the database or just use this querry in your any external php script and fatch the row and store in csv file…

----------
-------------------------
Finally working picklist… sorted by location......
-----------------------------------------------
select s1.sku as ‘sku’, sum(s1.qty) as ‘qty’, cp.value as “Warehouse Location” from sales_flat_quote_item as s1, catalog_product_entity_varchar as cp, catalog_product_entity as cp1 where s1.sku=cp1.sku and cp1.entity_id=cp.entity_id and cp.attribute_id=956 group by s1.sku order by cp.value;

-------------------------------
So output would be like this.......
-------------------------------

sku qty Warehouse Location

sku1 1.0000 F.C.16.02
sku2 4.0000 F.G.01.01
sku3 1.0000 F.G.07.02
sku4 4.0000 F.G.07.02
sku5 2.0000 F.G.07.02
sku6 1.0000 F.G.09.02
sku7 1.0000 F.H.02.01
sku8 1.0000 F.J.18.01
sku9 1.0000 F.J.19

---------------

In our store we have one additional row call ‘item_location’ which store the item location in warehouse. So Just add ‘item_location’ attribute into the magento and add it to the attribute set. And just do the dataflow product import with the new column call ‘item_location’.

In above query the attribute_id field ‘956’ is the value of attribute_id ‘item_location’, in my case I have the item_location stored with 956. So i used it.

If you want to check it you can check the dtabase and look at the table catalog_product_entity_varchar.
Which will give you the store’s location and the sku and also the how many quantity you want to pck from store?????

Enjoy....

Hi,
I haven’t done for the perticular order, because we have a warehouse and our store get the money straight away via credit card, so we do the picklist for all orders daily.  we have more than 200 orders a day, so very hard for us to moving into the warehouse for every order. So we collect the stuff before packeging for all orders…
So above query is suitable for us.
If you want to go for each and every order then you have to dig more into it with sales_order, sales_flat_ tables....

good luck.

Hi, we also had the same need and have developed an extension to do most of what has been asked for here.

Magento Pick List

You can select multiple orders and then from the actions menu choose either an order-separated pick list, or a combined-by-sku pick list. There is a total item count in the combined pick list, as well as a cost total (if you are buying from an external wholesaler this is pretty handy).

We are open to ideas to improve the extension, and currently have a bunch of new features coming up.

HI I am glad to announce to you all ho need an order pick list extensions that we have created one. The functionality for our order pick list extension is that when you generate a pdf file whit the order pick list extension you get this info on the pdf.

At the top off the pdf document it shows order nr and client name.

Under that it shows

Product name, Sku, manufacturer, storage location, qty ordered, qty picked.

Once the products are picked you go back to the system and type how many of the ordered products you have pick in the storage.

And once that is don the sipping department knows that the order is picked and ready to ship away to customer.

You will be able to see in order status that the product is picked and ready to be shipped.

The good thing whit our extension is that it shows storage location of the products that needs to be picked.

We are also expanding the functionality for this extension. We are making a upgrade the all storage workers can get their own login id to Magento store and they will only get access to order pick list tab whit all the order line up one after one ready to be printed out and pick and configure how many they have picked and save that info. They are not able to see any customer detail ore how much the customer has buy for only order id and name of customer. They will only have access to the pick list information only.

We vill upload a live demo whitin a month, but for now ther wil only be pictures from next week.

We are looking for some people that can test our extension, fore those ho want to be in our test project for this extension please contact us fore a great deal.

It would be great to have an order pick list for sending an employee out with a list of a bunch of orders at once. We use this very successfully at the nursery with Orderlist out of our osC store.
The list has products, order number, name and address, special notes. Saves paper and keeps the packing slips clean. Puller hands orders and list to Packer with checkbox for items pulled or backordered. Packer has checkbox, too. End of the day, the packer hands shipment printout and Pull list to office.

The list should be generated by check boxes or order status.

I’m just releasing an update to pickPack Magento picklist generator. It can now automatically send emails to admin with the Pick List or the Packing Sheet, either as an order reaches a pre-defined status, or on a daily basis. Yep, automatic printing can be done using this smile
