Hi guys, i upgrade my magento 1.7.0.0 to magento 1.7.0.2 and button (save) the Payment methods does not work. I click and nothing happens. Please help me!

Exactly same issue in my 1.7.0.2-installation! When I hit the “Save Config"-button on the Payment Methods-page (only this page) nothing happens.

It coincided with me installing a payment-module (ePay), so I was guessing that was to blame… Seems it is something more general!

I am very interested in a solution, since setting up the payment is the last thing i need before being ready to launch our new website… Oh, the timing…

*FIXED* (sort of...)

As alin09ro posted in the bug report, the problem seemingly only exists in the Chrome browser! Works fine for me with firefox.

Thanx, switching from Chrome to Safari did do the trick !!

There’s an easy fix for Chrome users.

Go to:

\app\design\adminhtml\default\default\template\system\config\edit.phtml

On row 47 add the following attribute to the form tag:

name="configForm”

That should fix it.

Yes the solution from Els ToverTeam works in Magento Community 1.7.0.2.

Hi there.

I’m having a similar issue where saving a Paypal Standard e-mail address in the Payment Methods screen is not sticking.  When I hit Save Config the screen refreshes, it says “the configuration has been saved” but alas there is nothing in the PayPal settings, just blank.

I tried using Safari instead of Chrome, no luck.  Also I tried the fix that Els ToverTeam suggested but no luck.

Any ideas what might be wrong?

Hey @rezilient, Check your exception logs.  I had hit an issue before where I couldn’t save Shipping Settings due to this config saving core bug in 1.7:

May or may not be related to what you’re seeing.

There not have bug with the Save button. As you can see on screen shot there lot closed accordion and we don’t see if some of fields have invalid value.

The real issues here is because Magento accordion not mark accordion when accordion is closed and that accordion have a field with invalid value. So open all your accordions on that page, press the Save button and probably see red text error at some of the fields.

Some time this problem arise in 1.7.0.2 but as Els ToverTeam suggested for the chrome user is the best solution --

Go to:
