endless 404 errors and “Magento already installed” errors

noetico Total Posts: 1 Joined: 2011-12-06 Ignore user	I have just started testing Magento; I used the downloader.php file in a subfolder of my test site such as linkpin.org/shop/downloader.php. Previous installation was removed completely, new database user removed and folders were previously cleared. Yet I have 404 errors; installation won’t work. I really need to use Magento and see if it’s a flexible solution for my clients.
