Hi

As a novice user of Magento the thought of upgrading to the latest version fills me with dread. I have read numerous articles/posts relating to upgrading and none of the upgrades seem to run smoothly. We are currently using 1.3.2.4 with a small-ish shop (100 products) and not many extensions installed. The shop is stable. We use a development site to implement and test changes before going live. Could anyone offer any advice on upgrading? Is it worth it? Does anyone provide a service to support you through the process? Are there any good artciles/posts out there which give you a simple walk through of the whole process? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks.

Nick

I would suggest you hire a developer to help you upgrade. You essentially will need your whole theme rebuilt and all the extensions will need to be upgraded. Realistically this will be 20-40 hours.
