I successfully imported around 2500 products with images using dataflow. Product images are uploaded as I can see them in the admin but for some strange reason they don’t appear in the frontend product listing. If I see the more info page for same product, the image shows but not on the listing page as thumbnail! After a lot of head spinning I found the thumbnails start appearing after I manually save the product in the admin even if no change is made. Just clicking ‘Save’ does the trick. It’’s not possible for me to do this manually for all products as there are about 2500!
Is there a way to handle this? or do I need to do anything else to make product thumbnails appear in the listing?
I have the same problem in Magento 1.7.0.2. Just saving the product is producing the thumbnail on the category page.
Does anyone has a solution?
Something else I got is that my meta titles, meta description, meta keywords, short description, do no appear at the backend, but do at the frontend. Does anyone has this same problem too?
this might be a script to resave them programatically… let me know if anyone has luck with this. I think our issue might be newer.
