1,000 bonus points to the person who can tell me the correct syntax / xml nodes to overload this class with a custom module, something on the order of:

<config>
    <global>
        <
models>
            <
catalog_resource_eav_mysql4>
                <class>
Foo_Catalog_Model_Resource_Eav_Mysql4</class>
            </
catalog_resource_eav_mysql4>
        </
models>
    </global>
</
config>

@ddeppner

This solved the sorting of Best value for me as well

However, I did find that by editing the files as you suggest causes an error when trying to change the sort order of products in the admin. I get a huge error message with a please wait message that never times out.

I’m looking to upgrade to 1.2.1 - Is this issue resolved in that upgrade?
