Several of my clients use them. They are solid.

Magento is a really good eCommerce system. as you are using Magento, try to choose VPS with more RAMs, more CPUs, Because it consumes a lot resources.I suggest you to use vpswebserver.com solutions, Their reputation is high and this company provides a wide range of hosting services and their VPSs cost little. You will be pleased by their high performance featured plans which are perfeclty suit Magento and any web software.

Good to know, it work well for me. Thanks

Hi, I’m using AWS Amazon cloud Service. At first I stated with a free plan, but as far as I undersand, using that one i could not run a FTP instance or SSL (sorry for my bad english).
So I changed it to some paid AWS solution, I’m now using RC2 plan. Talking about speed, it is very good but it is reeeeealy dificult to do anything there there is no control panel, almost everything has to be made by ssh.

That in mind I decided to change. I read a lot and many people say that VPS is the best solution. Comparing the information that you posted and balancing pricing I find myself between two choises:
-> SiteGround - > Advanced SD Plan -> 59 usd
-> ServerTune -> VPS Standard Plan -> 39,95 + 10,00 = 49,95 usd

Can you help me to chose witch seems to be the best option and explain why?

regards.

Thanks mageshopexpert, I actually got one and my experience is you should choose the package with >= 1GB RAM.

Not only RAM decide how hosting work, so that if you don’t have experience on server configuration then I suggest you should choose a good hosting package for magento and then they will take care the rest.

Just adding up, you shouldn’t run magento on a typical hosting plan, especially if its busy. A hosting plan on a shared environment optimized for Magento will probably cost more than a VPS offering similar resources. However, all the technical aspects of hosting the site will be taken care of by host.

But with the same provider of it is Siteground VPS, I see their VPS package have the price higher very much and of course I think resource much be more in their description

Belong to the hosting provider and how they manage and do quality control for their hosting. Shared hosting can work well for magento as I used for many of my sites.

I always check out this website before buying hosting - www.url-store.com - My personal favourite is bluehost because they’re the simplest and usually the cheapest for new hosting packages. Plus the customer service is actually GOOD.

Bluehost doesn’t work for magento hosting man. I already got one but it ‘s just so slow and I have to move to another choice.
