Hello,

It’s controlled by the layout file oauth.xml

if you comment out this part:

<customer_account>
        <
reference name="customer_account_navigation">
            <
action method="addLink" translate="label" module="oauth">
                <
name>OAuth Customer Tokens</name>
                <
path>oauth/customer_token</path>
                <
label>My Applications</label>
            </
action>
        </
reference>
    </
customer_account>

Then it won’t show anymore in My Account.

For those requiring a path: “app\design\frontend\YOUR-STORE\default\layout\

and leave the “BASE” oauth.xml in tact

Comment out using <!-- these are the tags used to comment out the code -->

When your done be sure to clear your cache and/or log out and back in

You could also do it with CSS3, as most browsers support it nowadays… I know, its not a “nice” solution, but it is quick, painless and totally upgrade-safe:

Just put:

a[href*="oauth/customer_token"] { displaynone !important }

anywhere in your css file…

You’re right Matsola although you do risk being penalized by Google (and others) for hiding links… which at least with legacy engines was considered a spammy practice and a heavily weighted red flag.

I would like to recommend the ‘Frontend Links Manager’ Extension in order to remove any links from My Account.
It provides the admin interface to turn off the links, easy huh?

This solution did not disable the link on the My Accounts page, but it did disable the page contents when the link is clicked.  Anyone have a solution for disabling the link?  (other than the CSS one).

HI,

If you ever wanted to remove the “My Application” link from customer’s My Account page here is the layout file to look for

app/design/frontend/[YOUR PACKAGE]/[YOUR PACKAGE]/layout/oauth.xml

Around line 118 – you will see a block of code similar to snippet below which you can simply comment it out.

<!-- My Applications-->
    <
customer_account>
        <
reference name="customer_account_navigation">
            <
action method="addLink" translate="label" module="oauth">
                <
name>OAuth Customer Tokens</name>
                <
path>oauth/customer_token</path>
                <
label>My Applications</label>
            </
action>
        </
reference>
    </
customer_account>

Hope this will help you!!

Thanks

Great. I found good extension to remove other links too and what is great it works with time frames and for different customer groups. Also I’m able to link My Account links with CMS page. Look for Customer Menu Builder

I used 20% discount for Cyber Monday - available here for all >300 magento extensions. Also service is great and You can merge different developers extension in one order - to get bigger discount. No one other does it - that way.

Another way to remove this link, is to edit this file here: app/design/frontend/default/YOURTHEME/template/customer/account/navigation.phtml

Once in the file, add the following bit of php code:

<?php unset($_links['OAuth Customer Tokens']); ?>

I added it in right between the following two bits of code in my navigation.phtml file:

<?php $_index 1?>
<?php
unset($_links['OAuth Customer Tokens']); ?>
<?php $_count
count($_links);  ?>

Hope this helps!
