Hi,

We are using magento, but we can’t access the svn completely.
(error 403 when hitting http://svn.magentocommerce.com/source)
That stops us from integrating magento over time (patching and merging is impossible without a full repository read access).

I’m willing to pay to have a read access to the code repository history, and not just the last svn version.

Hope this message reach a technician that knows what is svn and code repo.

Bye

Joss

Sorry for late follow up, thanks for your response.

We have access only to specific branch (like 1.7), but I’ve been making patch against ver 1.4

I can’t port my patch from 1.4 to 1.7 without a full history of the project.

Without the svn being only accessible for the subdirectories, it’s not possible to retreive the history. And without history I will have to manually apply my patch, wich can be too much time consuming.

I have read access to http://svn.magentocommerce.com/source/branches/1.7/
But I don’t have read access to http://svn.magentocommerce.com/source

If i want to port my code from 1.4 to 1.7 I need read access to http://svn.magentocommerce.com/source.

And so on, even if I manually apply my patch to 1.7, I will have to do it again for 1.8, on and on again.

In order to work more efficiently, we need the read of the svn root, and not only the end branch.

See what I mean ?

If you can provide me read access, I’m willing to pay for it, as I can spare a lot of time with it.

Thanks in advance

Joss

As a Enterprise developer, i’m just going to tell you straight up that you are making life harder on yourself. Just download the code version (or import them via ssh) and rsync them over your existing code.

There is no patching in Magento btw.
