I did a fresh installation (1.2.0.1) and installed the modern theme but the logo is not displayed on the front side, I have only the alt. text. The logo file is present in the skin/frontend/default/modern/images. I also replaced the file with my own logo.  Any ideas?

In Admin cache refresh the cache and image cache.

Thanks for your advice but did not work. I am using FF and IE and I can not make my logo show only the alt. text.
Any other possible solution?

Solved.

I found the code is making reference to images/logo_mydomainname.gif, not to images/logo.gif, even when on Admin Panel the Logo Image Src. is set to image/logo.gif

So I just changed the name of my logo image to “logo_calzafino.gif “
