Hello, me and my friend just decided to use Paypal as the payment solution for our webshop. We want it to be in Swedish since we only sell to swedish costumer, so we want these things in swedish:

Any help is highly appreciated!
Also, any suggestions about how we should try our payment section out? Since in paypal sandbox you need a paypal account to pay and 95% of our costumer probably won’t have one. We are thinking about putting products up for a real cheap price and try to buy them ourselves, is there any more effective way?

Thanks
//Andy.

PayPal Sand Box is used to test the transaction.
No real money is collected in the sand box payment process.

In paypal there are different type of transaction.

To translate PayPal texts, edit Mage_PayPal.csv in your app/locale folder (e.g. for Swedish, app/locale/sv_SE). I just had to do this myself for German: the translation for “What is PayPal?” wasn’t in there so I added it, so I know this works in 1.7.0.2 at least. You’ll need to include the punctuation marks, e.g.:

“What is PayPal?","Was ist PayPal?”

Don’t edit the CSV files in MS Excel. It will *always* mess it up. It has a real hard time understanding UTF-8 encoding, it seems to think CSV stands for “Tab Separated Values” so it replaces commas with tabs, and if you have any data that looks vaguely numeric Excel will reformat it.
Use a decent text editor like Notepad++ or UltraEdit.

Oh and don’t forget to clear the Magento cache afterwards.

Not sure I understand this one. You try your payment section out yourselves, you don’t get your customers to do it. Don’t just put PayPal on a live site and go from there: set up a staging site and try it on that first. Put PayPal in sandbox mode, test it yourselves, then try a couple of low-value transactions in live mode, then when all’s well put it on the live site in live mode.
